He was preceded in passing by his father, Vernon Vincent Layton and son, Christian Layton.
Frankie rode and raced thoroughbred horses while he was employed by Churchill Downs.
Here to carry on his memory is a life partner for several years, Kelsey Grunder, daughter, Hailey Layton, mother, Claudia Grissom, sister, Ann Layton, stepmother, Beth Layton Johnson (Sean), brother, Vincent Joseph Layton, and sister, Stephanie Marie Layton. He was loved and will be missed by many.
