Freddie G. Raines, 84, of Louisville, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on the evening of August 12, 2015 at Baptist Health Care. He was a native of Riverton, West Virginia and a Korean Conflict, four year Air Force Veteran. Freddie was a Protestant by faith and a retiree of General Electric with over 35 years of service. He was a member of Local #761 and a former member of the Okolona Masonic Lodge. Freddie loved to spend time in Panama City Beach, FL, pier fishing but mostly you would find him to be one to putter around the house, always needing something to occupy his time.
Predeceasing him were his parents, Troy and Kittie Layne.
Left cherishing his loving spirit is his devoted wife of 53 years, Sheila Calhoun Raines.
A Life Celebration will be on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at noon, at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park.
Family and friends may gather for visitation on Monday, August 17th, from 2-8 p.m. and after 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral h0me.
