Gene “Pops” Williams, 76 was born on July 23, 1947 in Louisville to the late Roy Thomas and Marguerite (Borders) Williams and passed from this life on Saturday January 27, 2024. Gene was a certified nursing assistant, and a Navy veteran during Vietnam. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Scotty Williams and 11 siblings. Left to cherish his memory are his son, Damien Williams and a daughter, Deziree Love; brothers Stanley and James Williams; a sister, May Enid Clark; and grandchildren, Jaydin and Jordin Thomas, Lydia Williams and James Newman. Cremation of the remains was chosen. The family is in the care of Arch L. Heady & Son.
