

George Lonnie Burton, 64 of Louisville passed away, April 11, 2013 after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s and dementia diseases. He was born on May 22, 1948 in Bowling Green, KY to the late Ed and Bertha Burton.
He was an Insurance Auditor for 30 years with USF &G and CNA. Lonnie was a dedicated and loving husband, father, Pa and friend who loved life. He loved playing golf, was a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Blackhorse Association 11th Cavalry Regiment and a member of the Glenmary Country club.
Lonnie is survived by his loving wife of forty years, Karen Bland Burton, son, Matthew Burton, daughter, Nikki Tyler(Travis), grandsons, Brett Hufford, Miles, Sam, Jack and Tate Tyler, sisters, Nancy Hendrick and Marsha Willis (Dan), nephews, Scott Hendrick and Sam Willis. He is also survived by many cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A celebration of Lonnie’s life Funeral Mass will be conducted 10:30 Monday, April 15, 2013 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 7500 Tangelo Drive, Louisville KY 40228. Visitation will be held 2-8 pm Sunday April 14, 2013 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. An interment will be held at 11am at The Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff KY, Tuesday, April 16, 2013.
