Jerry was an all around sports fan. He was a graduate of Eastern High School where he was the Captain of the Eastern High School Football team and was an All-State Selection. He was also a member of the All-Region baseball team and a member of the All-District Basketball team. Jerry was a coach at Lyndon Recreation and served his country in the US Army.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Richard Colston and Claudeen Cundiff, siblings, Richard Colston, Phillip Roberts and Kenneth Roberts.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Martha K. Colston, their children, Scott Colston Jr., (Heidi), Cindy Ernspiker (Gary), Bill Adams (Page), grandchildren, Lindsey and Phil Adams, Hallie White Colston and Ashley Kraus (Pete), great granddaughter, Charlotte. He is also survived by his sister, Debbie Schmickle (Carl) and a sister-in-law, Jacqueline Roof (Bill) as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be conducted at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 1206 Maple Ln. Louisville, KY 40223, Visitation starting at 1PM on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, with funeral services starting at 2PM.
