

She was 93 years old, joining her husband, Dr. Jose P. Ante, her parents, Jose and Sotera Licup, Sr., of Manila, Philippines, and brothers Jose Licup, Jr. and Francisco Licup.
Dr. Licup-Ante was born on January 18, 1928 in Manila, Philippines. She received her medical degree with the highest honor from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila in 1954. In 1955 she came to the United States under the Exchange Visitor Program. She returned to her native Philippines in 1960 and practiced at Santa Teresita Hospital, Legazpi City, Albay until 1968, when she emigrated to the United States with her family. She served as a physician in Virginia, Illinois, Ohio, and Kentucky. Dr. Licup-Ante was appointed as medical director in South Louisville Mental Health Center (River Region), Louisville, KY (1977 to 1978). She served as a staff psychiatrist at Central State Hospital, Louisville, KY for 20 years (1978 to 1998).
Dr. Licup-Ante is survived by her children, USAF Colonel (Ret.) Mary Ann Ante-Amburgey married to USAF Colonel (Ret.) Keith Amburgey; USAF Major (Ret.) Alexander Ante married to Maria Gonzalez-Ante; USAF Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Mary Jane Ante; USAF Major (Ret.) Mary Lynn Ante-Hecht married to Thomas Hecht; and Dr. William Ante, M.D., married to Rachel Storey Ante. She leaves behind nine grandchildren, USAF Major Lauren Johnican; Dr. Stephanie Johnican, PharmD; Patrick Ante married to Regina Domingo Ante; Sophia Ante; Joseph Hecht; Maximilian Ante; Michael Massey; Katrina Hecht; and April Joy Ante. She is also survived by her sisters, Felicitas Licup and Florsefina Maipid.
Memorial donations in Gloria's honor should be directed to St. Margaret Mary Catholic Community.
A Service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 12:00pm.
