Grover Fonce Pitts, 83, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. He was born in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to the lates’ Allen and Goldie Pitts on August 8, 1941. Grover was a quiet man who enjoyed gardening and spending time with his grandchildren and his entire family. He was a retired welder and a huge UK fan – especially basketball!
Grover was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Ann Marie; siblings, James Russell Pitts, EJ Pitts, Pearlie Mae Pitts, Shirley Faye Pitts, Mary Frances Pitts, Larry Allen Pitts Sr; and son-in-law, Neal Wermers.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Scott Pitts (Amy), Mindy Wermers; grandchildren, Lindsey Welbourn (Dakota), Trevor Pitts, Alexis Wermers, Madelyne Wermers; siblings, Burnis Pitts, Glennis Pitts, Christine Chumbley, Carol Tussey, Donna Jean Dockery, Kaye Howard; many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
The Memorial Gathering for Grover will be on Monday, March 10, 2025 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at Arch L Heady & Son Funeral Home – Okolona Chapel.
