Gwendolyn Sanders Thomas, 74, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on the evening of December 13, 2012 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was a homemaker and a member of Jerffersontown Christian - Disciples of Christ Church. Gwendolyn absolutely loved a bargain and to shop, travel and watch her garden grow. She enjoyed spending time with family and her extended family in Texas.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ronald S. Thomas.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Artie Lee Thomas; Teresa (Kevin) Adams, Ken (Norma) Thomas; grandchildren, Eric (Rebecca) Adams, Miranda (David) Aguirre, Daniel Adams and Tanya Thomas; great-grandsons, Jacob and Isaac Adams; and her beloved dog, Baby.
A Life Celebration service will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. A visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. and after 10 am on Wednesday at the funeral home.
