Harry S. Rosado, 83, of Louisville, passed away the evening of August 23, 2015 surrounded by his loving family at St. Mary’s and Elizabeth Hospital. He was born August 1st, 1932 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Paulino Rosado. Harry emigrated from Cuba, where he was a prominent attorney, in search for freedom and a better life for his family. He and his wife settled in Louisville KY in September of 1969. He then went on to teach at Holy Cross, formerly Bishop David High School, for 27 years. He founded the school chess club and led them to a state championship in 1981.
Harry is survived by his wife of 59 years, Maria del Carmen, children; Jorge, John and Harry, two daughter- in- laws; Laura and Jasmina, grandchildren; Lindsay, Allyson, Shannon (Mark), Nick (Shannon), Grant and Jack, a great- grandson, Maxwell, one sister, Maday Benitez (Justo).
A Private Funeral Service was held at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Cross High School Educational Fund.
