Hazel Jean Broell, 79, of Louisville passed away February 23, 2013 at Norton Suburban Hospital. She was born on September 4, 1933 to the late Thomas and Sally (Bowman) Roberts. Hazel was a former employee of Louisville Chemical; a graduate of Ursuline Academy; member of Saint Ignatius Catholic Church and the Moose Lodge #5. She loved to sew, read and spend time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, James H. Broell.
She is survived by her five loving children, Daniel A. (Sandy), Douglas Scott, Dean N. (Michele), Lisa A., and Dustin T. (Tanya); nine grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph Roberts and Wayne Roberts; two sisters, Dolores Starkey and Angela Parker as well as several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be conducted Wednesday February 27, 2013 at noon at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8 and Wednesday from 10-12 at the funeral home.
