Helen Rose Gahafer Heuke, 90, of Louisville, passed away February 4, 2024. Helen was a member of Incarnation Catholic Church and a retired secretary from St. Simon & Jude Catholic Schools. She was an avid reader and a camping enthusiast.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Lila Gahafer and ten siblings. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Thomas Heuke; her children, Mark Heuke(Barbara Sue), Max Heuke(Barb), Monica Keenan(Kevin), Jeff Heuke, and Jennifer Manley(Michael A.); grandchildren, Kelli Humphrey(Brian), Heather Mae Robbins(Justin), Leslie Heuke, Mindy Ruckle(Gregory), Matthew Vogle(Bethany), Rose Schilmiller(Daniel), Nick Keenan(Olivia), Alex Keenan(Tiana), Michael P. Manley(Jamie), and Halie Seng(Kyle); 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Linda Gahafer, Dinah Welsh, Mike Gahafer(Martha), and Bill Gahafer(Claudia).
Helen will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
