Helen June Picklesimer, of Louisville passed away August 17, 2010 at Baptist East Hospital. She was born on September 4, 1933 in Millstone, Kentucky to the late Marion and Cinda Bentley Cook. She was a retired church secretary and a member of the Bashford Manor Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Dennis Picklesimer, Jr. and two brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her children; Denny Picklesimer (June), Dawn Lashley (Les) and Ward Picklesimer (Kristie); Grandchildren, Adam, Jessica, Jessi, Matthew, Josh, Bryden and Jaron; great-grandchildren, Grayson and Pyper; and three sisters, Winifred Meade, Rose Martin and Joy Venters.
A celebration of her life will be conducted 10:00 A.M. Saturday August 21, 2010 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road with private burial in Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday August 20, 2010 from 4-8 at the funeral home.
