Henry S. Strong

Hank proudly served his country in the United States Marines and the Army Reserves for a combined total of thirty-one years. He retired from the Army Reserves as a Master Sargent. After retirement from the military, he was a free-lance writer, which was his passion. He was a man of many stories. Hank was also an avid outdoorsman; he loved to hunt and fish.

His first wife, Nancy Strong and second wife Marty Strong precede Hank in death.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Gabrielle Newkirk (Greg), Judy Singleton (Dan), James Strong (Melanie), Kerry Poole (Tammi), grandchildren, Clay, Chad, Kristin, Chris, Travis, Hayli, Tanner, Kerilynn, Ashlyn, Keiryn, great grandchildren, Noah, Nora Ryleigh, Johnny and Anastasia.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 9, 2019 from 5-8pm & Friday, May 10, 2019 from 11am until 1pm at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Hwy. Louisville, Kentucky 40219. Funeral services will be the same day at 1pm with interment to follow at Zachary-Taylor National Cemetery.
