We are some of Hugh's tailgating buddies and are just now hearing about this.  We are so sorry we weren't able to be there.  Our thoughts and condolences are with the family.

My condolences to the family and friends of Hugh.
I worked with him at Showcase Cinemas back in the day. He was absolutely a fun guy to work with, and we had some good times .
So sorry I lost touch with him

Our hearts and prayers are with the family during this time of grief. Mr. Hugh as our students called him has been a bus driver at Shelby Academy for years. His students adored him and are greatly missing him right now. He genuinely cared for his students, knew them by name, and spent time talking with them before and after pick up and drop offs. Mr. Hugh saw the best in his students and encouraged students to be their best.  I count myself lucky to have known him, and the Shelby family will miss him.

When covid hit n we were working @ Manual HS

I have had so many wonderful memories with Hugh!! I have known Hugh for about 45 years now I guess and he has been involved in so many of my best memories. Hugh was in my wedding, there when all three of my children were born, came to all the birthdays and Christmases and so many other events. My heart is truly broken, I cannot believe this is real. Hugh was truly one of the sweetest and most kind human beings I have ever known! Fly high my dear friend! I love you so much and I will miss you so much!
