Ila Gail Carroll

Our beloved mother was born November 13, 1920 to the late Clarence and Cosby Sarah Roth. She is preceded in death by her husband Granville J. Carroll; young son, Ronald Lee Carroll; sisters, Virginia M. Hillerich, Myra L. Moody, Wanda Randall, Clara Roth; and brother, Woodrow Roth.

Gail was a beautician in her own beauty shop for 70+ years, but her life's work was her devotion to her family.

She is survived by her children, Robert G. Carroll, Sharon S. Deerr (Don), and Larry E. Carroll (Sandi); 3 grandchildren, Todd Deerr (Tammy), Justin Miles (Heather), and Jarrod Carroll (Kristin); and 8 great-grandchildren, Abigail, Codi, Angelica, Chloe, Skyler, Hailey, Jonah, and Logan.

A special acknowledgement to her caregivers, Sharon Johnson RN, Artie Wells and the doctors and nursing staff at Baptist East Hospital Palliative Care Unit.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 12 pm at Evergreen Funeral Home Dignity Chapel with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 pm-8 pm at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at Baptist East Hospital or charity of your choice.
