Jack was a beloved father to two daughters, Melody Dobbins Lewis (Brad) and Jackie Dobbins Bronnert (Mike). He was a proud grandfather to Bryan Lewis (Becky), Courtney Hanold (Justin), Brittany Benett (Chris), and Jason Bronnert (Sarah), and a cherished great-grandfather to nine great-grandchildren: Jack, Uriah, Sam, Kalina, Grace, Jackson, Madalie, Jameson, and Louis.
Jack dedicated over 50 years of his life to the food service industry, working in sales at Sysco and Bloemers.
Jack and Charmaine’s love story began in a serendipitous moment. Charmaine was on her way to teach a piano lesson at a home next door to the church personage, while Jack, who had recently moved from Arkansas to Louisville, was entering the parsonage where he was living with his older brother. The two struck up a conversation and she never even made it to the piano lesson that day.
They soon discovered a special connection: Jack was the younger brother of the pastor of Beechmont Baptist Church, where Charmaine served as the church organist. The chance meeting marked the beginning of a lifelong partnership. They were married at Beechmont Baptist Church on August 22, 1925.
Jack will be remembered for his warm heart, strong work ethic, and deep love for his family. His life was a testament to enduring love and faith, and he leaves behind a legacy of kindness and commitment that will be treasured by all who knew him.
