He was retired from Kentucky Trailer and was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Smith. Survivors include his step-children Joyce Samuels, Rosemary Baumgardner, and John “Jay” Baumgardner; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and step daughter-in-law Trina Baumgardner.
His funeral service will be held at 12:00 Friday at Arch L. Heady and Son Southern Funeral Home, 3601 Taylor Blvd, followed by entombment at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Thursday.
