He was a retired Anesthesiologist for Jewish Hospital and St. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital.
He was a Marine Corp Veteran and also was a member of the US Army Reserves. Jack was a member over the years at Middletown Christian Church, Hurstbourne Christian and Douglas Blvd. Christian Churches. He was a scholar of Apostle Paul and was a member of the Filson Club, Jefferson County Medical Association and was a University of Kentucky Fellow and avid fan of University of Louisville Athletics.
Left to cherish his memory are his six children, Stacy DeCoste (Kevin), Stephen Wilhoit (Karen), Scott Wilhoit (Emily), Jack Wilhoit (Cathy), John Wilhoit (Kim) and Susan Wilhoit; eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
A service to celebrate the life of Dr. Wilhoit will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Watkins United Methodist Church with a reception to follow.
