Jackie was a huge baseball fan with her favorite teams being the Cincinnati Reds and the Louisville Bats. Jackie was a long time season ticket holder with the Louisville Bats and took many friends with her over the years to games to enjoy with her the love she had for baseball.
Jackie also was a huge advocate for people with disabilities working closely with the Center for Accessible Living. She spoke to Ability Awareness Classes at Metro Parks and Recreation Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation Program, as well as Adaptive Sports and Recreation Classes at the University of Louisville with BJ and Brent. Jackie was a living example of why people should focus on a persons abilities. She was always the best example of personal independence and she spent much time teaching others how to become more independent.
Jackie had many loves and interests and was a very busy lady, always on the go. She was always so grateful to her caregivers; Nicole (for over 25 years), Wendy, Felicia, Keisha, Rachelle and Gertie (for over 25 years) who provided loving support so Jackie could stay so involved in her community.
Jackie loved her Metro Parks and Recreation Family and loved spending time with her friends/staff from there. She also loved her church, Southeast Christian Church and her HOPE Bible Study Class with BJ, Mike and all her friends.
Jackie was also very involved in and loved her Book clubs at the Crescent Hill Library. She loved spending time with her friends Rob, Becky, Bridget and Erica.
Jackie was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents and her brother, Nathan. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Sharon Koch and a host of friends in the disability community.
