James David Buckman

Born on April 17, 1945, in Lebanon, KY, to the late Aloysius and Lorene Buckman.

David earned a Master's degree and spent a significant portion of his career as a Psychologist. He committed 20 years with the Department of Corrections and 8 years at Juvenile Justice, where his expertise and kindness left a lasting impact on many.

His legacy is carried on by his sons, Brian Buckman (Lorri), Steve Buckman, and Timothy Buckman. His memory will continue to be cherished by his sisters, Carole Buckman and Nancy Freeman (Jerry). David's life was also enriched by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Preceding him in death was his beloved son, Chris Buckman, and his siblings, Charles Buckman, Carl Buckman, Maye Langdon, and Faye Shannon.

David found solace in the simple joys of life, embracing moments spent with his family and watching classic television.

A visitation for David will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218.
