

He was an Army veteran where he served as a mechanics instructor, he was a devote catholic and was a member of St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church. He was a retired employee for GE and with thirty-nine years of dedication., James loved to connect with all people, tell stories and express his playful wit, and have fun. What he loved the most, was his family.
He was one of twelve children, and is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Amy Cleary, their children, Michael Cleary, Robin Cleary Torres, Tammy Toebbe (Henry) and Kelly Cleary, siblings, Louise Agnew, Donnie Cleary, Edna Zehnder and Eddie Cleary, He is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A funeral service to celebrate James’ life will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Monday, July, 11, 2016 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd with entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 3-8 p.m. on Sunday, July 10, 2016 with a rosary service at 4:30 pm.
