James B. Lathrop

He was the husband of Susan Donnelly. They shared 53 years together. Jim was born in Louisville, Kentucky, and grew up in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. He was the son of Robert Lathrop and Irmise Smallwood.

He is survived by His spouse, Susan (Sue) Donnelly, children Jeffrey (Mandy), Shane, Kyle (Krista) and grandchildren, Brandon, Adrian, Rebecca, Emmett, Daphne, Konner, Karter and Kathryn. He is also survived by his sister Linda (Tony), Lisa brother John, and was predeceased by his brother, Robert Lathrop.

He graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. He was employed at Deming, Malone, Livesay & Ostroff and worked as an accountant.

Jim was a member of Christ Church United Methodist and was a member of the choir. He enjoyed golf, traveling, eating out, watching sports, and everything UK related. He also enjoyed making wine, and spending time with his children and grandchildren, and especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren partake in their various sports, band, dance, and other activities.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am-2:00 pm with the funeral service following at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 2nd at Arch L Heady of Resthaven; 4400 Bardstown Road by Eric Bryant..
