James “Jim” Ramsey, 79, of Louisville, KY passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017. Jim was a man of many interests. After proudly serving in the United States Airforce, Jim retired from Banner Transfer Co. after driving a truck for them for 30 years. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and an avid gun collector. Jim was a member of Masonic Lodge #155 for 56 years and loved being a Funster Clown “Muncho” for the Shriners.
Preceding James in death are his parents, Frank and Nannie Kathryn Ramsey, a Sister, Mary Ramsey Woods and his nephew Bradley Franklin Ramsey.
Left to cherish James memory is his daughter, Elizabeth “Buffy” Compton; siblings, Steve Ramsey (Virginia), Bobby K. Ramsey(Evelyn) Grandchildren, Christopher Adam (Rachel), Jonathan Cory (Amber), Brandon James (Kendall), Emily Elizabeth (James), Aaron Kenneth (Subrena), Nicholas Andrew and Danielle Catherine Rose; Great-Grandchildren, Logan Conner Gage, Kaleb Lee Scott, Gavin Wayne Jackson, and Lucas Andrew. And a host of nieces and nephews.
All services will be private and under the care of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40218.
