Janice Gail Lewis, 64, of Louisville, passed away after a brief illness on the evening of May 1, 2012 at Norton Audubon Hospital surrounded by family. She was the former Gail Corbin and a native of Bardstown, KY. She worked for Jefferson Special Services and was a Christian by faith. Gail loved nothing more than spending time with family and friends. She loved to go to the lake, listen to country music and travel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Donald Lewis in 2003; her granddaughter, Kelli Renee' Blackwell in 2010, along with several siblings.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Lisa (Paul) Dixon, Pam (Mike) Mullins and Julie (Alan) Pigman; sisters, Edith Tucker and Ann Jones; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Gail's Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, May 7, 2012 at noon at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. and Monday after 9 am. at the funeral home.
