Jean retired from the State Government after more than nineteen years of service.
She is preceded in death by her son: Garry Downs and her parents, William and Maude Roe.
She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-one years: Charles Downs, a daughter: Mary Wade (David), sons: David Downs and Charles Downs Jr. (Marnie), brother: Joe Neil Roe (Margie), sisters: Barbara Bandy and Reba Groves, grandsons: Charlie III and Michael Downs. Jean is also survived by four great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held 2pm Wednesday, June 27, 2012 in the visitation room of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven , 4400 Bardstown Rd. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday until time of remembrances at 2 pm.
