May 24th, 1963- May 20th, 2026
Jeffery Scott McLennan (Mac), 62, of Louisville, was called to his Heavenly home in the morning of May 20th while in the loving care of his family.
Jeffery was born on May 24, 1963, to Shirley Baucom McLennan and James (Jimmy) McLennan. He was a proud graduate of Shelby County High School and The University of Kentucky where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity forging lifelong friendships that he deeply cherished.
Early in Jeffery’s life he found personal enjoyment and financial gain in event ticket sales. What began as a way to cover his own costs to enjoy a show, sporting event or to fund his spring break led to a fruitful career that connected friends and strangers alike to experiences some will never forget: sold out shows, The Masters, Superbowls, and of course, The Kentucky Derby. Jeffery made a career out of creating and enjoying one-of-a-kind experiences.
Jeffery also possessed a servant’s heart having been part of many charitable causes throughout his life. He was most proud of the 26 years in which he organized a Christmastime gala benefiting Toys for Tots Louisville. Thousands of local children in need were able to know the Spirit of Christmas because of Jeffery’s wholehearted dedication to this cause.
Above all else, Jeffery was a loving, kind and devoted son, brother, uncle, friend, partner to Lana and father-figure to Lillie. He will be forever remembered for his humor, generosity, and unwavering love and loyalty to his family and friends.
Jeffery is survived by his loving partner in life, Lana Carlton, his “stepdaughter”, Lillie Carlton, brother, Anthony McLennan, sister, Lisa Veteto (Jim), a host of nieces and nephews, Alex McLennan (Amber), Erin Veteto, Mary Veteto, Zoe McLennan, Matthew Veteto and great nephews, Kyler McLennan and Bennett Bradford. He is preceded in death by his parents and his nephew, Austin McLennan.
A visitation will be 11am to 7pm, Sunday, May 31st, 2026, at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road Louisville, KY 40218.
Funeral services taking place 11am, Monday, June 1st, 2026, Arch L. Heady at Resthaven followed by burial at Resthaven Memorial Park.
