Jeffery Louis Summers passed away on Thursday, September 14th at the age of 63 in Louisville, Kentucky. A graduate of Westport High School in 1979, Jeffery Summers drove a school bus for over 14 years, where he met his wife Myra Rayburn. He went on to find his passion working at golf courses with the Louisville Metro Parks Department. He himself would admit he was not a “golfer.” Jeff was a dedicated employee of the city for 10 years. He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and JoAnn Summers. Jeff is survived by his wife of 36 years, Myra Summers, his son Chad (Ally), brothers Timmy and Dwight, and sisters Becky (Jody) and Melissa.
Those who knew and loved Jeff knew he was a simple man; he loved his television, a good laugh, an exciting Nascar race, and most of all his family, including his dog, Pax.
A funeral service to celebrate Jeff’s life will take place on Wednesday September 20, 2023 at 10am in the chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son Westport Village 7410 Westport Rd. Louisville, KY 40222 with visitation on Tuesday September 19, 2023 from 3pm-7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Jeff’s name to the Humane Society of Louisville.
