He was a retired employee of LGE after 41 years of service.
Mr. Gagel was preceded in death by his wife, Betty L. Gagel and grandson, Brandon Gagel.
Survivors include his sons, Jerry Gagel Jr., Dwayne Gagel (Sandy) and Mark Gagel (Susan); eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held noon Wednesday at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2-8 p.m Tuesday.
