Jerry S. Watkins

He was a teacher at PRP High School and retired after 34 years of service. Served as a School representative for the Jefferson County Teacher’s Association, was an academic coach, a member of C.A.P., and was an assistant baseball coach at PRP High and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Jerry was a member of the Moose Lodge #2453 Grayson County.

Jerry is preceded in death by his brothers, Benny and David Watkins.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Sally Ledford Watkins, their sons, Brian S. Watkins (Toni) and Greg T. Watkins (Angela). Siblings are, Jim Watkins (Jan) and Paul Watkins, grandchildren are, Nathan, Isabelle, Jackson and Kacie.

A funeral service to celebrate Jerry’s life will be conducted at 12 noon on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd.

Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 3-8pm on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 and after 10 am the day of the funeral.
