I am so lost for words this woman was a saving grace for me and my family on many occasions. If I ever had a problem and needed a talk or advice no matter what she was doing she would stop and listen and give as much comfort as she could. She is hands down an all around woman. This earth will never be the same. I love you Ms Jo and now you have been called home please watch over us all and continue to be the guardian angel 😇 you have always been.  Miss you already!

It is rare to find someone with a heart as big as Jo’s. The love she had for her family is clear to anyone that crossed paths with her. She was a caretaker with every ounce of her soul. She has bettered the lives of countless children and people that she has cared for over the years. The thing I loved most about her was that she had a way of making anyone she talked to feel like the most important person in the room. It was impossible to not feel welcomed in her presence. She could make the shyest of children feel at ease. Although she did not ever want to be the center of attention, she drew you in and kept conversations going with ease. She has been a rock for so many. 
I will forever be grateful for her teaching Ronnie how to love his family deeply, and how she passed along to him her passion and dedication to family above all. Jo has left a legacy of love.


Ms.Jo this has been really hard for me I love you so much. You have always been there for me I just appreciate EVERYTHING you have done for me😭. God sure did pick a beautiful jewel.  I’m some blessed to have gotten the pressure of knowing you.  The last time we talked we laughed about the linking logs🤣.....My friend,my boss and my Angel. Get your rest no more pain🕊🕊🕊.

Jo Ann lived next door to me on Marigold Avenue. She was always sweet and friendly. Connie always shared Ronnie with us. He was like another son. I’ll never forget Jo Ann’s kindness to everyone she met. She will be missed. My prayers go out to her family and loved ones.

Love you mommy. I will never get over the thought of not being able to see you, talk to you, watch your favorite moon pie videos.

You were always such a good communicator. Even when we were in our teens and got into trouble, you always learned alot faster than me and Connie but we always stayed friends. I did grow up and l always remembered you giving good advice to me even if l didn't take it,but you did plant a seed.Been sober for 32 years now.The last time l saw you and Connie was back in 2002 when l brought my husband to meet my mom.We really enjoyed our visit and seening how much your kids had grown.William you were the best thing that ever happened to Joann my heart goes out to you.May god bless you all and keep you all in his loving care.Connie when you are up to it,please call me at 940-730-5595 or you can just text.Sending my love and prayers for healing at this time of loss.

There are more memories than I can count. You were such a big part of my life from the time I was 6 years old. You gave me the love of lifelong friends in Holly and April and an extended family. I will love and miss you always.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Peggy and Ronnie Travis; grandparents, Edna and Henry Odle; and brother, Ronnie Travis Jr.


Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 50 years, William; children, April Abrams (Danny), Holly Rivera (John), Faith Baugh, William Clifford (Leslie); 7 grandchildren, Amber(Will), Cera Jo, Tabitha (Brandon), Isaiah, John Michael (Michaela), Erin, Will; great grandchild, Hazel; sister, Connie Conway; and several loving nieces and nephews, especially Brian Travis and Ronnie Conway (Angela); and loving friends.
