

Born Friday, October 8, 1943 in Indianapolis, Indiana, Jo Ellen was the daughter of Clyde Martin Jared & Virginia Lee Morris. She was a retired Customer Service Representative for ISA. Jo Ellen was an avid sports fan, loving the Cincinnati Reds & the UK Wildcats. She played softball into her adulthood, and she was a fabulous bowler who bowled on many leagues as well. She was a lady of perseverance and strength, surviving breast cancer twice. Jo Ellen lived a full life, a life well – lived!
Besides her parents, Clyde Martin & Virginia Lee Jared; her husband, William H. “Bill” McKinley, precedes Jo Ellen in her passing.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Gregory A. Jolly and Melissa (Rick) Jones; grandchildren, Brittany Jolly, Kayla (Jacob) Denney & Brandon (Alexius) Smith; honorary – granddaughter, Kaitlyn Smith; great – grandchildren, Mason Jolly, Jackson Denney; honorary – great – granddaughter, Skylar Cooley; her brothers, David Allen (Sherry) Jared & William Lee (Glenda) Jared; plus, a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral Services Visitation will be held on Monday, May 6, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in Heady Memorial Chapel of the Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home - Okolona Home. Jo Ellen will be laid to rest in the Mausoleum of St. Mark of the Evergreen Cemetery & Garden Mausoleums. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home - Okolona Home and then again on Monday, May 6, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until the Funeral Hour of 1:00 p.m. also at the Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home - Okolona Home.
In lieu of flowers & customary expressions of sympathy, memorial contributions in honor of Jo Ellen, can be directed to the American Cancer Society or Hosparus.
