John L. Boyd

John was born on March 16th, 1943 in Logan County, Ky to John and Nellie Boyd. After High School, he proudly served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. John always had a love of cars devoting his career to being “the best damn Mechanic!” He was an avid fisherman and a passionate gardener.

After retiring, John enjoyed spending time at home with his beloved wife of 45 years, Linda, doing everyday tasks with his best friend. He also enjoyed “holding court” in his garage with friends and neighbors dropping by for a cold beer. He will be remembered for his gruff kindness to everyone.

He is survived by wife, Linda and his daughter, Leslie Tudor (Kirk), his granddaughters, Nina and Claire Tudor. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Nellie Boyd, his son, Marty Boyd and his daughter, Lisbeth (Liz) Boyd.

A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 26th at Evergreen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Ronald McDonald House in memory of John. Thank you to everyone for your kind thoughts and prayers!
