He was born January 10, 1935 in Louisville, the son of John A. Collins, Sr. and Estella Deely Collins. He was preceded in death by his father and his wife, Sue Dockery Collins.
He worked as a Pressman at Lipp’s National Printing Company. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, David Collins and Nancy Eisenmenger (Ken); his mother, Estella Collins; two granddaughters, Lauren and Sarah Eisenmenger; two sisters, Joyce Guderian and Linda Walker (Robert); one brother, Gerald Collins (Jane), and also his dog and best friend, Reggie.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 5:00 PM on Sunday, February 19, 2012 in the Chapel of Arch L. Heady and Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Road. Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until the time of the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
