John Ard Foil

Born to the late Erby Kirk Foil and Eliza McGehee Foil, John is also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy "Dottye" Foil; his children Lisa Lee Nagel, and Alan Kirk Foil; his grandson David William Nagel; a great grandson; and his brothers Richard Foil and Jack Foil.

Here to carry on his memory are his children John Kreg Foil, Teri Foil, Lori (Bobbie) Sullivan, Deana (Doug) Hayden; grandchildren Mark, Ashley (Greg), Michael (Betsy), Danielle (Jonathan), Dustin (Joyce) , Chase, Shelby (Patrick); 14 great grandchildren and many friends.

John loved his Country and took pride in serving in the Army. He never passed an American flag without saluting it. He loved a great bargain and anything on clearance. It made his day to get visits from his kids, grandkids, great grandkids, friends, and neighbors. He was a huge flirt and never met a stranger. John was loved and adored by everyone, and he will be truly missed.

A visitation will be held at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville KY 40218, on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM. A Celebration of John's life will follow at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. John will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park.
