John was born on July 1st, 1933, in Burkesville, Kentucky to the late Ray and Linnia Ferguson Spencer. He was a proud United States Army Veteran, serving in the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his loving wife, Cordelia Nally, two children: Sandra Nichter and Ricky Dee Spencer, a son-in-law, David Wayne Sewell, and four siblings.
John is survived by his two children; Tony Spencer and Angela Sewell, four grandchildren; Ed “Spank” Nichter, Shaun Nichter (Ellen), Linna Sewell, and Clint Sewell (Carrie), five great-grandchildren; Lola and Ruby Nichter, David and Lilly Sewell, and Sophia Johnson, and his sister, Shirley Moore.
A visitation will occur on Wednesday, April 23rd from 11am to 3pm with a funeral service to follow at 3pm. All Services will take place at Arch L. Heady and Son Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd. Louisville, Kentucky 40222.
