Joe is survived by his father, Frank L. DeTalente, mother Mary Ripcho-Wolff (Hugh), siblings, Frank DeTalente (Robin), Travis DeTalente (Marsha), Laura Sander (Mark), Tony DeTalente (Michelle), and many loving family members and friends. Joe was an avid Kentucky Wildcats fan, and loved playing and watching sports.
The family of Joe would like to give a special thanks to the co-workers at UPS, his teammates, James Brown Cancer Center, and Hosparus of Louisville, for their unconditional love, support and care of Joe. A funeral service to honor the life of Joe will be held 10am Friday January 3, 2014 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Hwy, with a private entombment to follow in Evergreen cemetery, visitation will be held Thursday from 12pm-9pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be directed to James Brown Cancer Center or Hosparus of Louisville in memory of Joseph S. DeTalente.
