

Born on August 21st, 1951, in Lexington, Kentucky, to the late Lester and Mary Jo Hyman, Joe lived a life full of love for his family and friends.
Joe was a proud graduate of Southern High School, class of 1969. After completing his education, he dedicated many years to working at Harland Clarke, where he retired.
While work was important, Joe's true passions could be found outside the office. As an avid record collector, Joe found joy in the melodies of vintage vinyl. His weekends were often spent rummaging through antique shops in search of treasures from the past. Joe's love for old movies complemented his hobby of antiquing.Beyond his antique and cinema interests, Joe was also talented in woodworking and various art forms. His appreciation for old cars was more than just a pastime; it was a window into history that he loved to explore.
A frequent scene in Joe's home was the comforting sight of him enjoying episodes of Perry Mason. His unwavering love for different artistic expressions and his cherished sister Jeanie's company were true highlights of his life.
Joe is predeceased by his parents, Lester and Mary Jo Hyman, his brother Jeffrey Hyman, sister-in-law Cathy, and his sister Janet Gill, as well as his beloved furry companion, Bunny. He is survived by his sister, Leslie (Jeanie) Northcutt; brother-in-law, Douglas Gill; nieces and nephews, Leslie Farrell (Kenny), Timothy Northcutt (Stacy), Allen Northcutt, Rachel Wethington (Todd), Jill Collins (David), Susan Bocska (Anthony), Jeffrey Hyman (Holly), and Merritt Gill. Great nieces and nephews, Bailey Hyman, Britton Wethington, Kaylee Northcutt, Reece Compton, Ryan Northcutt, Landon Hyman, Audrey Collins, Evie Ginem, Emma Collins, Max Hyman, Trinity Bocska, and Tyson Bocska. Great great nieces, Adlynn Edison and Everleigh Edison. Furry companion, his cherished cat Mudflap.
Joe will be deeply loved and missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of life for Joseph will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218.
