Joseph "Joe" M. Mayfield, age 99 passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and his caring nurse/friend at Westminster Health Care in Clarksville, IN. He spent his early years on a farm in Hodgenville KY. He was a US Army Veteran. He became a Kentucky Colonel in 1966 and is a member of Cloverleaf Baptist Church. Joe had several jobs but was a realtor for over 52 years, winning many awards.
He is survived by his son, James Mayfield (Jean), a daughter, Betty Weedman (Jeff), 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
A visitation for Joe will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218. A funeral service will occur Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 12:30 PM, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218. An interment will occur Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, Kentucky 40218.
