Joe was retired from his own business, Raymond Masonry, and enjoyed boating, fishing, golfing, and bowling in his spare time. He was also honored to be a Kentucky Colonel.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Bryant and Mamie Raymond; wife Rosie Raymond; brother, Donald Raymond; and daughter, Virginia Raymond.
He is survived by his companion of 15 years, Diane Downs (or as Joe affectionally called her, Gizmo); brother, Robert M. Raymond (Darlene); two sons, Joseph A. Raymond, Jr, (Kathy), and Robert B. Raymond (Melody); niece, Lynda Gayle Ford; grandchildren, Joseph A. Raymond III (Crystal), Christy High (Jon), Jesse Priddy Jr., Jamie Logsdon, Jimmy Logsdon, Jimmy Grimes (Tiffany), and Connie Rogers (Damian); and great grandchildren, Asher Raymond, Nickela and Kaylee Rogers, Alannah, Bailey, and Keagan Grimes, and soon to be born, Rowan High.
Cremation was chosen and the family requests that any expressions of sympathy can be directed to the James Graham Brown Cancer Center memory of Joseph A. Raymond, Sr.
