She was a member of Iroquois Presbyterian Church and had worked as a telephone operator for South Central Bell and as a clerk for Stewart Dry Goods.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years,Roger E. Tankersley; daughters Angie Tankersley and Betty Jo Day; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and her beloved pets Hoss and Donatello.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy, followed by burial at Forest Grove Cemetery in Memphis, IN. Visitation will be from 3-8 pm Monday and 12-2 Tuesday.
