Joyce B. Taylor

Taylor, Joyce B. 80, passed away Thursday May 10, 2018. Joyce was a faithful member of Summit Heights United Methodist Church since 1961. She was also a Kentucky Colonel and enjoyed being a member of the social club Graces and Disgraces. She was preceded in death by her son William Taylor, parents Delbert and Dolly Brewer and siblings Tom Brewer, Shirley Price, Jerry Brewer and Selbert Brewer. Joyce leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 60 years Jim Taylor, daughter Rebecca Smith, grandchildren Brian Foree (Kaylynn), Travis Taylor and Parker Taylor and great grandson Easton. She is also survived by her brothers Gilbert Brewer and Don Brewer. A service to honor the life of Joyce will be held Monday May 14, 2018 at 10am in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home 4400 Bardstown Road with entombment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday May 13, 2018 from 2-8pm at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff of Baptist Health in Palliative Care for the compassion and kindness shown to Joyce.
