We loved Joyce so much! She joined our little Mazda Family early 2012 and quickly became one of my favorite people. Always funny, outgoing and up for an adventure. She was a very special little lady.

My wife and I had the pleasure of getting to spend so much time with Joyce when we lived on the West Coast. She came to visit three or four times  planning on staying for just a week or two. We would spend time with her and as the day would draw closer to her going home, We just continue to feel more comfortable with Joyce presence and already starting to miss her before she was even gone. So every time we would extend her trip for a month or two. 
We went places that we had always talked about. We went on many road trips too many different national parks. She would sleep in a chair next to us on a cot,staring at the stars all night. We would often wake the next day and talk about how beautiful the sky was in the middle of the night. She always wanted to go to do the skywalk at Grand Canyon and go to see where the last tribe in the Grand Canyon lived. 
The picture here is a little funny because some people  might recognize that These are the boxes that you put your food in when bears come around. We told Joyce that it was actually a place you would jump into & hide from the Bears when they come. We never told her the truth. it was always funny when we were on a camping trip and we talk about how the Bears were close and she would ask us..Do I need to jump in the bear box?… 
When we were younger and we would come to visit, she would always make sure we left with something wheather it was a snack or fruit or some interesting rocks. Her & grandfather would stand on their hill until we got all the way down  the driveway and were out of site wavin. When she would come to stay with us, and sometimes she would see when I would get a little heated, she would always remind me just take a deep breath & just relax things will always be better. 
She  always reminded me that when we were to go out to dinner with any lady ever. know one thing.. Do not rush them. 
She taught us many things. 
I don’t consider her a step grandmother. I consider her my grandmother. Forever

I'll never forget the time you took me out there when I was a teenager to spend the night and to see all their animals. Joyce and Ralph were very good people very nice. Thanks for the memories. From our family to yours we wish you the deepest of condolences and we want you to know that we love all of y'all very much and you're in our prayers and our thoughts.
