Joyce Crenshaw

Mrs. Joyce Ann Cissell Crenshaw, formerly of Louisville, KY, passed away on April 14, 2026, at University of Louisville South Hospital. Born December 06, 1939, Joyce was 86 years old. In the lives she touched, Joyce will be remembered in the quiet, personal ways that matter most—through the steadiness of her presence, the closeness she kept with family, and the love that remained constant across the years.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Noel & Evelyn Cissell; her brother & sister-in-law, Maurice & Jean Cissell; her sister & brother-in-law, Carolyn & Charlie Peck; her sister & brother-in-law, Gail & Charlie Dickinson; and her sister-in-law, Jessie Cissell.

Joyce is survived by her spouse, Howard (Sonny) Crenshaw; her daughter, Donna Gray; two grand-daughters, Sandy Young and Francis Christie (Joe); and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Thomas Cissell; her niece, Penny Anderson and ex-spouse John Anderson; her nephew, David Dickinson, and partner Robert Hurlock; along with many more nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 8519 Preston Highway, Louisville, KY 402195390.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 1:00 pm, also at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Road.

In place of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
