Joyce Laverne Hare, 87, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on April 21, 2026. Joyce worked and retired from Jefferson County Public Schools. A Christian woman, Joyce’s faith was a guiding presence throughout her life and remains a source of comfort to those who mourn her loss.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, John Hare; and her sons, Edward Price, Stephen Price, Phillip Price.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Antonia Pardon (Pat), Karen Ahoor (Roy), Melisa Miele (Mark); her sister, Barbara Scharre; brother, Donnie Jones; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great-great grandchildren, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home in Louisville, Kentucky, on April 26, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home in Louisville, Kentucky, on April 27, 2026, at 12:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The American Cancer Society, and Right to Life.
