I've departed this world for a better place on Thursday, January 26, 2017. Born in Louisville, KY on September 6, 1940 to parents, William R. and Florence E. Lawson.
I graduated from DuPont Manual High School in 1958. Married and raised two wonderful sons. After 17 years of marriage, I divorced and worked as a saleslady for the old Stewart’s Dry Goods and Shilitos. I remarried in 1978 to a great guy, Heman E. Schickel, Jr.
For three years I was a veterinarian’s assistant. I loved all animals. I fed the birds daily and took good care of my beloved cats thru the years including Bacardi, who was my latest feline pal.
I've enjoyed playing Bingo and socializing with my gal pals and loved going to the casino any chance I got.
I'm survived by my husband of 39 years, Herman; two sons, Frank T. “Teddy” Jr. and Mark William Morgan; grandsons, Frank T. III and Jason E. Morgan; and my pride and joy, great grandson, Waylan Morgan, and his mother Fran.
Also surviving are three stepchildren, Kimerie Bales (Bruce), Jeffery (Susan), and Gregory Schickel; four step-granddaughters and four step great-grandchildren; my special friend, of over 60 years, Mrs. Beverly Sacksteder; wonderful and very close cousins, who were there for my battle with cancer. They kept in contact and we had many laughs together.
I was preceded in death by my grandparents, John and Frances Poppe, and my wonderful, loving parents, William and Florence Lawson, as well as several aunts and uncles.
