

Juanita Rose "Granny" Carr, 87 of Louisville, passed away, June 24, 2010 at home with her family at her side. She was born January 26th, 1923 in Louisville to the late Charles Oscar and Elizabeth Lee Bradley Durbin. She was a homemaker and mother and Granny Rose to all! She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Robert L. Carr Sr.; Four sons; Robert L. Carr, Jr., Albert L. Carr, David O. Carr, and Marvin R. Carr.
Her 6 daughters; Margaret E. Smith, Mary E. Portman, Betty C. Leagle, Lillian Juanita King, Catherine R. Wheatley, and Joyce A. Carr. Her brother; James Oscar (J.O.) Durbin of New Haven, KY.
18 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren and 3 step-great grandchildren.
She always put her family first, never, thought of herself! She loved children, put a baby in her arms and she would smile ear to ear!
A Mass of Christian Burial, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Therese Catholic Church, 1010 Schiller Avenue, with entombment at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Monday at Arch L. Heady Russman & Sons Funeral Home, 1201 East Oak Street.
