

Julia “Judy” Cook Lomax, 80 of Louisville Kentucky was called home by her Heavenly Father on October 26, 2023.
She passed Peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. Judy was a Loving and kind Mom, wife, sister and daughter.
Judy’s life was a tribute to enduring love, unwavering friendship, and boundless family bonds.
Left to cherish her memory are her previous husband, Jerry Lomax, and their children, Tina Lomax Merideth and Brent J. Lomax. Judy and Jerry shared 28yrs years of marriage. Their union was a symbol of commitment and companionship, evolving into a lifelong friendship that remained unwavering throughout the years. Jerry was not only a devoted husband but also a wonderful father to their children.
Their presence and unwavering support provided comfort and solace through all of Judy’s suffering, highlighting the strength of family bonds.
Judy, the oldest of five was often referred to by her siblings as their 2nd mom. She is survived by her dear brothers and sisters, Marc (Dee) Cook, Joann (Frank) Kleier, Ken (Adel) Cook Sr., and Karen D. Cook. Judy is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
They shared a deep connection that transcended distance and time, and their good times together, infectious laughter and memories will forever remain etched in their hearts.
In addition to her immediate family, Judy is also survived by her cherished sister-in-law, Jodie Farris. They shared a close bond over the years. Their friendship remained a source of comfort and support, and Jodie’s presence meant a great deal to Judy.
Judy is now reunited with her beloved parents, Marcus Clement Cook and Anna Frances Peak Cook, who preceded her in passing.
Judy’s life was a tribute to the enduring power of love, friendship, and family. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Home of the Innocence in Judy’s honor.
A celebration of Judy’s life will be held on Friday November 3, 2023 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven 4400 Bardstown Road Louisville, Kentucky 40218
Visitation will be from 10:30am-1:30 pm. With a private viewing for family from 9:30am-10:30am. A funeral service will be at 1:30pm in the funeral home chapel. Memorial services and burial at Calvary Cemetery immediately following.
