A native of Whitesburg, KY, he was a retired employee of Porcelain Metals, a member of Valley Masonic Lodge 511, and a Kosair Shriner.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Sexton.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Patsy Durham Collins; a son, Jeffrey Collins (Pamela); daughters, Jennifer Holman (Mike), Kim Cooke and Bridget Ritchie; 10 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren, including Bryson Ritchie who was his special friend and buddy.
His funeral service will be held at 12:00 Thursday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, followed by entombment at Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 pm Wednesday.
