In 31 years I have always received a call, text or email on this day. Happy May 8. I will miss these, but wanted to say: I never regretted it!

My brother could often be headstrong, stubborn and at times not very diplomatic.  He was also the best person you ever met and would do anything for you. You knew exactly how he felt about whatever might be the topic of discussion.  He did not hold anything back. There were seldom any “filters” in place when he spoke or on his actions. He was a Both Barrels kind of guy!

As  I watched the slideshow made with the photos to celebrate his life I thought about that. Both Barrels, holding nothing back. When he felt it you knew it. That was really a Blessing.

He had a child-like quality he had that he never grew out of that made him so very honest. Every smile we saw on his face was as real as the breeze we will feel today and tomorrow. And his smile was as big as sunshine.
The tenderness I saw on his face and in his eyes when looking at a loved one touched my heart…. That person was all there was at that moment in time.  Regardless of what was going on, you were all that was important and EVERYTHING to him.

His laugh came easy. His joy was contagious. His loyalty endless. We loved him; we love him still, faults and qualities alike. His feelings, his love ran deep and we always received the full measure, with Both Barrels. It was really such a Blessing.

His child-like quality that he was blessed with made him the special person he was.  Jesus once said “blessed are the children”.  I know where he is at this moment.

The souls of his loved ones in attendance who are now rejoicing at their reunion with Kenny, and All of us here and know beyond any doubt just how loved we are. So we are not here to say Good-bye and mourn. We are saying, “Till we meet again”, we will treasure your smiles as they surface in our memories.  Your smiles as big as sunshine.

I appreciate everyone's kind words. I am completely devastated. My dad was my hero and taught me so much. He taught me how to be a man, he taught me trades, and skills, and pushed me to succeed. He was my go-to guy. He had an answer for every question I have ever asked. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was a stand-up guy and extremely honorable. He worked his butt off to provide for our family. He made sure we never went without, and we didnt!  He will be truly and deeply missed by all of us. 

Dad, I love you so much. Words cannot express.

Sorry for your loss. I lost a close friend. I will miss Ken, wish we had spent more time together.

My heart goes out to our son Justin Adam Levay as well to the rest of Kenny's family. Kenny has given me our first son and I will always be grateful to have shared that experience with him. He was one proud father. He will always be remember by many! My condolences to you all. I love you Justin Adam.
