

Kenneth R. Oster, 95, of Louisville, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He was a WWII Veteran and a Pearl Harbor Survivor, having served on the USS Independence. Kenneth was also a KY Colonel and a member of the Suburban Masonic F & AM Lodge #740, and a member of West Broadway Baptist Church. He retired from civil work as a claims examiner for the Veterans Administration.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Amma B. and Earl Oster; brothers, Boots, Doty and Granville; and sisters, Irene, Georgie, Pauline, Mildred, Ethel and Margaret.
Left cherishing his memory is his loving wife of 69 years, Juanita Orick Oster; nieces, Vicki, Ginger, Judy, Linda, Frankie, Pat, Carolyn, Lynne, Melissa, Theresa, Rebecca, Stacie and Stephanie; nephews, Danny, Dennis, Walter, Ricky, Steve, Timmy, John and Bill.
A Life Celebration will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3-8 p.m. at the funeral home, with a Masonic service at 6:30 p.m.
